The Foxes final run-in continues with an away fixture against West Ham this weekend, as they aim to finish the Barclays Women's Super League campaign on a high, having already achieved safety and their highest-ever points tally in the top flight.

Ahead of the game, here is an insight into both teams and what happened last time out...

Jutta Rantala won both Player of the Season awards at King Power Stadium.

City enjoyed a break away from the pitch earlier this week when they attended the End of the Season Awards evening at King Power Stadium, where Jutta Rantala won both Player and Players' Player of the Season awards, while Missy Goodwin's strike against Liverpool in November won Goal of the Season.

On the field, City haven't seen victory since an Adobe Women's FA Cup Quarter-Final against Liverpool, and most recently fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester United after a late strike from Ella Toone made the difference on Filbert Way.

A win could see Leicester climb up to eighth in the table, and they will be hoping top scorer Rantala keeps her impressive form up, being one of three players outside the top four teams to record over 10 goal contributions this term.

Sunday's hosts sit one place behind the Foxes but don't have to worry about league safety either, sitting eight points above relegated Bristol City with two games to go, but that doesn't mean they won't be hoping to end on a high and climb further up the table.

West Ham haven't won any of their last seven WSL games (D3 L4), failing to score in four separate matches during that time, and only the Robins are currently on a longer winless run than the Hammers (15).

The London outfit also have the joint-lowest goals scored tally with Everton at 18; Viviane Asseyi with six of those, half of which, coming from the penalty spot.

Rehanne Skinner, who spent the last three years in the coaching set-up at Tottenham Hotspur Women, resides the Irons' dugout, recording a winning rate of 17 per cent, compared to 39 per cent with her time at Spurs.

As the first female coach to lead the team in the top division, the 44-year-old has been getting to grips with her new side, and will be hoping to end the term positively, knowing a win against Leicester could give them a chance to leapfrog their way up the standings on the final day.

City head into the fixture with one win in their last five outings against West Ham, that victory coming in February of 2022 when Natasha Flint, Ashleigh Plumptre and Freya Gregory found the net at Pirelli Stadium.

In this season's reverse fixture, the scores ended one goal apiece at King Power Stadium when Lena Petermann's second half goal was cancelled out deep into stoppage time by Honoka Hayashi.
